​Years 4 to 7, Ardtornish students have been involved in website creation projects within their HASS curriculum projects.

The benefits of creating a website as a student assignment are numerous.
  • ​Research skills, specific studies in databases, resourcing materials that are for general or educational use and simply navigating the information that is available via print and electronic media.
  • Website design that involves visual aesthetics, spacial awareness, photo manipulation, linking to text and pictures, headers and footers, embedding maps, forms and so much more.
  • The sharing of a student's work so that they can have a real audience and feedback can be received from peers, teachers, parents and more.

We are using website creation within Geography at the moment and hoping to extend it to writing in the future.
