Developing a love of Reading

At Ardtornish we don't just teach students how to read, we teach them to love reading!

In 2017 our librarian, Jane Moore, won the inaugural 'Australian Principals' Association' and Scholastic

'Reading Leader Award'

for the outstanding work she does promoting a love of reading amongst students at our school.

Jane has also established the 40 book challenge, which encourages students to read a book every week for the school year.

Parents who read to their children make a significant contribution to their literacy development.
